From the towering 300m sand dunes of the Namibian desert, the Castaway now finds himself en route to his northerly cousins in the dry and arid Gobi Desert in Mongolia. The Gobi is a rain shadow desert, formed by the Himalayas blocking rain-rich clouds from the Indian Ocean. Although his cousins are two-humped this does not sway the castaway's confidence, as he knows what he lacks in humps, he makes up for in other ways.
